September 29, 2005 - 9:23 p.m. Today I was sick from work so I played Pogo games online all day. The computer is in Dan's apartment right below mine, so naturally I did not notice the monsoon in my apartment upstairs. I had to use my own bathroom, as that is where I keep the tampons. I do not tend to keep them in Dan and Matt's apartment, as they do not usually menstruate (I swear Dan gets PMS with me, though). I opened my door, and heard a strange sound, like water. I walked towards the bathroom, and as I did sloshed through a giant puddle in the kitchen. Interesting, indeed. I ventured into the bathroom, to find the floor completely immersed. I followed the sound and discovered that the pipe thingy behind the toilet was flowing water. Goody. Used every towel I owned (and spent yesterday washing and folding) and my bathrobe and the floor was still wet. I'm pretty sure there is a puddle underneath the stove. As an added bonus, the linoleum tiles in the kitchen have become unglued and forming speed-bump type obstacles that ooze water everytime one passes by. Delightful, indeed. So now I am re-washing my towels, and sitting here thinking about how terrible my own problem is, when there are thousands of people homeless due to flooding. I am so selfish, sometimes. 0 Adorations and Criticisms
